Son Antem Alaró
The estate is nestled in the foothills of the Mallorcan mountains and dates back to 1693. It was replanted in 2019 by the Lidby family. Today, Son Antem spreads across 18 hectares. The first wines were produced in 2021 and the estate is organically certified since vintage 2023.
The Lidby family
Since 2009, the Lidby family has a strong connection to Mallorca. Even then Johan could see Mallorca’s great wine-growing potential with its calcareous, complex soils, mountains and maritime Mediterranean climate. By 2014 the idea had evolved into acquiring their own vineyard. The search for an estate began. It was a five-year-long process before Johan and his wife Malin finally set eyes on Son Antem Alaró – and it took them less than ten minutes to make the decision to take over the estate.
Today the estate is a small-scale vineyard of 18 hectares with newly planted vines of different grape varieties producing artisanal wines. Everything from planning, planting, harvesting, and vinifying is done by the Lidby family.
